One more item, do you get a "Disowning" line in the xterm when that
other station sends a kill packet for your item?

It looks like the disown_object_item() function should get called in
all such cases.  I need to determine whether you get the above
message so I know where the problem might lie.  If you see the
message then the problem must be in that routine.  If not, it's
probably elsewhere.
