You should be able to peek into the ~/.xastir/config/xastir.cnf file
and see where things are.  I suspect it's the same place as on
Linux, as you spelled out above.

Methinks you can look at Help->About to see what libraries are
installed.  Armed with that list we could probably tell you what's
supported in that binary.
