Yes. I believe I've run it that way before in receive mode. I
didn't build up a PTT circuit at the time.
Your options would be to run as an AX.25 kernel networking device or
as a serial KISS port device. Set the soundmode device up using
"soundmodemconfig". If you're using kernel ax.25 then you'll have
additional things to configure/run. I've done it both ways but not
for a while so you'll have to ask for specific help from others on
the list.
