[Xastir] Ubuntu/CVS/Game plan

Now I'm going to take another shot at doing a CVS install of Xastir on 
Ubuntu 6.06.

Ubuntu's current version of Xastir installed without a hitch with Synaptic.

Now, my plan is to un-install Xastir, and fetch the latest CVS stable 
version.

I'm doing this on a clean machine, with a fresh, install of Ubuntu.

Are there any flaws in this plan?
