They're a great idea, but I choke on the _price_ of Bluetooth/RS232
adapters. The battery type is $200, and needs recharging after 24
hours. The powered type is $70, power supply not included.

In a nutshell it's $15 to $20 for a USB solution vs either $200 for a
Blutooth no-cable-but-rechargeable-battery solution, or $70 for a
bluetooth trade-the-serial-cable-for-a-power-cable solution. When I
see the price of the bluetooth hardware, I find that the cables don't
bother me all that much. |:

I'm not sure why a phone headset with bidirectional audio plus
digital controls costs much less that a simple serial data stream
(other than the obvious economies of scale excuse), but bluetooth has
a long way to go before it's an actual solution to any problem I have.
