Many thanks to Curt and Wes for the great efforts.  The I can track the 
Rino using Xastir and the perl script.   The carrier of the remote Rino 
just needs to remember to key the mic or the call button.



So what does anyone know about the Garmin Astro.  It is sold to track

Any opinions as to whether or not it might work with Xastir?
