You need to enable the "multiverse" repository.  The easiest way to do that
is to open Synaptic Package Manager, open the Settings->Repostitory dialog,
and click the multiverse check box.  Once you've done that, you need to 
click the "Reload" button in synaptic to download the multiverse package list.

Alternatively, you can edit /etc/apt/sources.list, uncomment the lines
related to "multiverse" and execute "sudo apt-get update"
