[Xastir] Newbie APRS help

hi KA7O,

Thanks for that - thats excatly what I want to achieve except have aprsdigi
or digi_ned handle the digi-peating - my TNC will be a baycom type thru
modem so no features there.

Would you be willing to send me your aprsd.conf off list?

Do you know which aprsd is used now.  The docs say there are two - I want
the one that uses the linux AX.25 ports (not the one that sets up the TNC
itself).   The docs are old and very confussing for a newb ;-)  Mine is the
stock fedora version.
