Depends.  Are you hooking up to a DE-9 on the back of the computer,
or a USB->Serial adapter?

If the former, then use /dev/ttyS0 for what would be COM1 in
Windows, /dev/ttyS1 for COM2, etc.

If the latter, then use /dev/ttyUSB0, /dev/ttyUSB1, etc.
