[Xastir] Deb distro with Mepis 11 ?

Back from holidays now. 

Lee, I tried installing your recent Deb Distro for Mint on my Alpha install of Mepis 11 . I got it to work but I needed to install with Gdebi while logged into KDE as root. If I tried to install as a normal user gdebi would throw a very breif error on the screen that I could only guess was some sort of permissions violation.

So after using a root login to KDE and returning to a normal user login I found it ran fine as version 2.x  xastir. The OSM maps work as well. Well done Lee . Much appreciated.

I notice that Mepis have now just released a Beta version. I wonder if my issues with the sound card are fixed with that.
