[Xastir] ax25 question

I was never able to get one of my two usb to serial adapters to work
as an ax25 interface.  I tried starting all over with the one that
didn't work previously, and still no dice.  I found as long as it was
plugged into the TNC, the kissattach command wouldn't work - I forget
the exact error message.  If I unplugged it from the TNC, I could get
the initial commands to work without errors, but then as soon as I
plugged it in and tried to test, I would get errors.  Perhaps you are
encountering something similar with the TNC-X.

I was able to get AX.25 to work with Xastir in Ubuntu 11.04, but on
that box I was using a 'real' serial port (ttyS0).  That computer
'quad boots' LMDE, Ubuntu 11.04, Mepis 11.0, and Aptosid (latest
version).  I was able to get AX.25 to work on the first 3 - never
tried it on Aptosid.
