[Xastir] Cable - Good! Connection - Made! Next ...

Just wanted to say thanks for the patient people, on and
off the public lists, who walked me through this hardware
and software (Linux) process!

Alinco DR-135T
ArgentData OT3m/Tracker-3
Xastir on Laptop
AX.25 stack and Minicom

The following ax25, minicom, and Xastir sequence of commands appear
to be playing nicely together:

1. "echo -ne '\xC0\xFF\xC0' > /dev/ttyACM0"

2. "minicom -D /dev/ttyACM0 -b 115200 -o"

3.    Inside Minicom type:

"BEACON testing tnc connection"

     I should get an echo and no errors.

4. "USBKISS on"

5  CTRL-A then CTRL-X to exit Minicom (I had to use File-Close)

6. "kissattach /dev/ttyACM0 APRS 12.34.56.78"

7. "/usr/sbin/kissparms  -p APRS  -t 20  -s 10  -r 32  -l 20  -f n"

8.    Open Xastir and tweak settings.

	I will need to work on Step 8 tomorrow.


The cable has been built and appears to be working OK.

I can toggle transmit.

I have a TH-D72A with which to test send and receive ...

But it's too late to do more, will save that for tomorrow.
