Xastir on laptop in Linux.
ArgentData OT3m/Tracker 3
Alinco DR-135T

I have followed the following setup instructions:

1. Unplug everything from the Tracker 3, turn off the DR-135T and
reboot the laptop.

2. Connect the interface cable from the Tracker 3 radio port to the
data port on back of the DR-135T.

3. Turn on the radio and put it in data mode.

4. Once your computer has finished rebooting, plug the USB cable into
the computer

5. Open a Terminal window (command prompt) and type "dmesg"; the very
last line will tell you which port your Tracker is using. It should be
/dev/ttyACM0, but it could be ACM1 or ACM2. I'll use ACM0 for the rest
of these steps, but make sure to substitute your actual port number.

6. Type "echo -ne '\xC0\xFF\xC0' > /dev/ttyACM0" and hit the [Return]
key. You should get no error, just a new command prompt line.

7. Type "minicom -D /dev/ttyACM0 -b 115200 -o". This will start a
minicom session connected to the tracker.

8. Hit the [Return] key a couple of times until you get a prompt that
says "cmd:"

9. Type "MYCALL KD4E-9" Hit [Return] and you should get a confirmation
of your command.

10. Type "BEACON Testing my TNC". Hit [Return] and you should see the
red Tx LED on the Tracker 3 light up and your radio should key up and
send the beacon.

11. Type "USBKISS on" and hit [Return]. This will just give you a blank
line in minicom.

12. Hit [Ctrl]+[A] and then hit [X] to exit minicom and release the
serial port.

13. Start Xastir. Click the Interface menu, then Interface control.

14. Click the Add button, then select "Serial TNC"

15. Use these settings:
     - TNC Port: /dev/ttyACM0
     - Comment: Tracker 3
     - Port Settings: 115200bps
     - Port Style: 8,N,1
     - I-Gate Options: Disable all I-Gate traffic
     - Leave the UnProto paths at defaults
     - TNC Setup Filename: tnc-startup.null
     - TNC Shutdown Filename: tnc-stop.sys

16. Click OK.

17. Back in the Interface Control window, single-click on the Serial TNC
and click the Start button

18. Close the Interface Control window. Now in the main Xastir window,
click the Interface menu and then "Transmit Now!", your radio should key
up and send a beacon. Your station should appear on the Xastir map as well.

NOTES:

A. I have the blue and green indicators on the bottom and the red
arrow lights up when I choose "Transmit Now!"

B. It transmits in Minicom so it would not seem to be a cable or rig
	fail.

C. I presume that because it transmits in Minicom that means it is
	not a OT3m/Tracker 3 fail either.

D. What Xastir setting might block the transmit, please?

E. Is there a way to reset all Xastir settings to default so then I
may set it up from scratch?

Thanks!
