Thanks for your reply!
The Tracker 3 comes with a USB port - so no adapter is
needed.
It would be cool if that "init KISS mode at startup"
switch would - when Xastir is first opened - cause a script to
execute and run Minicom then set "USBKISS on" and exit then
open Xastir.
One less manual step is always a good thing.
It has been suggested that the lack of Rx response
may be due to the Rx sensitivy setting in the Tracker 3
firmware being too low.
Now the problem is to communicate with it from Linux
as I don't use any of the MS versions of windows here.
Meanwhile I will check the receive line of the cable
between the DR-135T and the Tracker3 and the inside connection
of the connector - interface - and rig. Perhaps something
somewhere is loose.
