[Xastir] Maps are downloading, but not displaying

Oh, and another thing to check:  Dig down into your .xastir/OSMtiles directory
and find one of the most recently downloaded tiles in the map set you've got
selected.  Perform the following two operations on one of those tiles:

   gm identify (filename)
   gm display (filename)

or (for ImageMagick) 
   identify (filename)
   display (filename)


Report the results.  For me, osm-tiled-mapnik tiles show:
 PNG 256x256+0+0 PseudoClass 254c 8-bit 18.3k 0.008u 0:01
from identify, and display Just Fine.  What happens for you?
